(Central New Jersey) Saturday, June 15, 2024—Real Central NJ (RCNJ) won their third match of the season at Moravian University’s Makuvek Field at the tail end of a back-to-back against Lehigh Valley United Rush (LVU) Saturday night. Following a one-goal first half, RCNJ busted the game open with three more goals in the second.
"The guys put together a complete performance today," said Men's Sporting Director Ira Jersey. "Every player did their job defending well, pressing at the right times, and disorganizing the opponent. It was a well-deserved win."

RCNJ - Chris Cushing 69th minute: After being awarded a free kick just outside the D, Curt Calov sends a shot off the crossbar that rebounded high. Chris Cushing rose above the back line, heading the ball far and low past the keeper. LVU 0, RCNJ 3
RCNJ - Curt Calov (Cole Sotack) 77th minute: RCNJ’s fourth goal came from a quickly taken free kick from Cole Sotack. The ball was played up to Curt Calov, who made a run into the blind spot of the LVU back line. Calov turned toward the goal, dribbled around defenders and across the box, then delivered a shot low and past the keeper into the bottom left corner. LVU 0, RCNJ 4
The player of the match was attacker Luke Pompliano. Pompliano was a key factor in the win, delivering a brace and contributing two goals in pivotal circumstances throughout the match.
